Engaging pre-algebra curriculum integrating Christian principles. Welcome to Firefly Curriculum Pre-Algebra Part 1 (First Semester). This is the first of two courses designed to cover all necessary topics to make a complete Pre-Algebra curriculum. This course is to be used in conjunction with Pre-Algebra Part 2 (Second Semester). Since this course is a complete Pre-Algebra curriculum it covers national standards for 7th as well as partial 8th grade standards. As such, parental discretion is advised in how you pace this course, and how much you complete this year. There are pacing instructions in the attached curriculum workbooks, modify your progress as needed to suit your student.
Student workbooks are located in the “materials” tab for each individual lesson. Materials needed include pencil, printed student workbooks, notebook with lined paper, chalkboard course Part 1 and Part 2. Extra practice problems are available for students who need additional practice to master concepts. These printouts are located in the “materials” tab of Lesson 1 for Part 1 and Part 2 respectively. Should your student need additional assistance when solving problems in the lesson workbooks, additional teacher resource books for each lesson with detailed workbook practice problem explanations are located in this tab as well.
This course is the textbook, the printable workbook attached to each lesson is used to apply the concepts in this course. Each workbook includes answer keys and pacing instructions. All lessons have downloadable workbooks in the “Materials” tab.
