I have been trying to get my head around Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing KDP for the past few weeks and I genuinely did not expect it to be this involved. On the surface it seems like you just upload your book and you are done but the more I dig into it the more I realise how many things can go wrong if you do not know what you are doing. File formatting, cover dimensions, pricing strategy, category selection, keywords, it all adds up quickly and every time I think I have one part figured out something else comes up that I had not considered.
